Ignore the Critics. "Derailed" is a good movie

The Saturn repair shop had wanted to do some more work on the brakes yesterday, but I needed the car so John went back this morning to get the other work done.

He had seen a review of a movie called “Gospel” that he wanted to see and the only place the computer said it was playing is in Redondo Beach. It started at 4:45 so we left home at 3:15 and got to the theatre on time only to find they had pulled today to show something else for the holiday week-end. Another woman and I were both standing at the window at the same time saying “What happened to Gospel.” And there was nothing else playing there that sounded interesting.

You don’t want to try the freeways at 5 p.m. in Los Angeles so we went to the mall next door and went to another movie theatre, “Derailed” with Clive Owen and Jennifer Anniston was just starting so we bought tickets. I thought I had seen bad reviews and there were not a lot of folks in the theatre, but we really enjoyed it. I sat on the edge of my seat barely breathing the whole time and was exhausted when it was over. Driving home at 7 p.m. was not bad.
