We drove back downtown and went to the Anchor Bar where “Buffalo Chicken Wings” were created in 1964. Now you can buy them in the frozen food section all over the country. A real success story. Not our favorite meal, but you gotta do what you gotta do.Across the street is Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. We knocked on the door and got a great tour and history talk by the secretary.
The church, formally named The English Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity was founded in 1879, over 125 years ago, as the first English speaking Lutheran congregation in Buffalo. It has a beautiful interior. We’ll come back on Sunday to worship and hear the organ played. We drove around and around trying to find a small Museum near the Marina. We had the address and the phone number. No one answered the phone and we couldn’t find the address, but it had already been a long day so we went home.
