Caulking fix seems to work so we’re off to Sycamore Campground in Sycamore, Illinois, about 25 miles west. Our good friend, Jacque Sweetman (her husband was John’s best man at our wedding) had an ankle replacement two weeks ago. Her doctor said she could go back to work next week, but she can’t put any weight on her foot which means she can’t drive, for 8-12 weeks. We volunteered to come to Sycamore and I will be her chauffeur for two weeks. She works at the Elgin Community College. The RV Park is about 2 miles from their house and our site is overlooking a small lake.
After we got set up we went to say “hello” and get caught up on news. I have my handy Rachel Ray cookbook with me and fixed one of my favorites, sausage and pasta, for our dinner.
John’s Magellan GPS has arrived so he has a new toy to play with.
