It's Still Raining

Well the sky is black and it's supposed to rain all day. I decided I might as well do the laundry. The campground has a fairly large laundry (10 washers and 10 dryers), but several other folks had the same thought process I did so it was pretty chaotic. But with "mission accomplished" I set about writing text for my blog so when I have a connection, I'm at least half done.

We drove into Bar Harbor for dinner. The rain had slowed to a mist, so with umbrellas in hand we strolled the streets looking at restaurants. We walked by a sea kayaking business (there are several here) and I signed up for a 4 hour trip on Thursday. It's supposed to be beautiful weather by then. (This photo of the kayak shop was taken on a sunny day.)

Bar Harbor is a cute tourist town. Cruise ships come into the harbor so by day the streets are crowded. There are lots of tourist shops and restaurants, as well as shops catering to the outdoor adventurers--hikers, bikers, kayakers, climbers, etc.
