Lunch at Jacksonville Landing

It was gray, but not raining this morning. I made mini-meatball soup, another Rachel Ray recipe, and put it in the refrigerator in readiness for dinner. We drove south to Jacksonville once again to run a couple of errands. (Sun Coast RV and Ritz Camera.) We drove around downtown and had lunch at Benny’s Steak & Seafood at the Jacksonville Landing, a development next to the Convention Center on the St. John’s River. We watched water taxis, freight trains and cars crossing the river.
We decided to split a piece of key lime layered cheesecake for dessert. It was served on a plate that was decorated with the outline of a palm tree made from caramel sauce and green citrus sauce. Presentation is everything, but we wanted to buy a whole cake and take it home with us. Sorry – no can do was the answer. But it was sure yummy!!
Got home about 4, just about the time it started to thunder so we knew the rain was coming. We were right.
