We drove north to Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is just over the border. Got gasoline for $2.02 a gallon. We’ve paid up to $2.30 this trip so far so that seems cheap. Everything is relative, I guess.
We’re camping at Raccoon Mountain Campground which is on the west side of town. It used to be in the country but subdivisions are crowding it. Without all the trees, you would be looking down on houses from the campground.
We got set up in time to drive into town and up to Lookout Mountain to survey what we want to explore the next two days.
