Mother's Day in Columbia, South Carolina

We went to church at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Forest Drive. Amelia Carolina was the name of a baby being baptized this morning. I thought it was a lovely Southern name.
We drove into downtown and couldn’t find a place to eat so went to Publix market and bought sandwiches, cokes and cookies and sat at a table outside with the Sunday paper. The weather is about 80 degrees and balmy. John suggested we go to a movie, so we saw “The Interpreter”. A thriller with a so-so plot. Got home about 7 and I’m going to try and get caught up on my journal tonight. Tomorrow is our last full day in Columbia.
