"Measure for Measure"

We bought tickets for an 8 p.m. performance of Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure” the third production of the season. Unfortunately it means missing the Symphony performing with the North Carolina Dance Theatre and the Chautauqua Ballet Company in the amphitheatre. But as we learned early in the week, you can’t do, hear, see and enjoy it all, as hard as you may try. I now know why the Sunday 2 p.m. performance was sold out early. Fewer conflicts on Sunday afternoon. It was a great theatre experience. We skipped the opening night reception in the art gallery and walked back to the parking lot on wet streets. It had rained off and on all afternoon
