We didn't leave too early this morning. It's only 250 miles Barrington RV and our service is scheduled for tomorrow.
Barrington RV is in Bartlett, Illinois, on Route 20, about 30 miles west of Chicago (near Elgin). We bought Toby III here and they are delightful folks to work with. It's time for Toby IV's oil change and we have our usual list of fix-its. We can spend the night on their lot with electricity and water.
John took the car to be washed and to find a laundromat. When he got home we took the laundry to a huge, new laundromat that was jumping with activity. Except for us, the clientele was Hispanic and all the TVs mounted on the ceiling had Mexican stations broadcasting the news. The Southern California fires are prominent, of course. Some of our family and friends have evactuated from Poway and Ramona, but no news of damage yet.
We ate dinner at the restaurant next door that used to be a delicious Mexican restaurant and is now a barbecue place, but they still had a couple of Mexican items on the menu (go figure) so I had a huge bowl of tortilla soup and John had a burrito.
