We're in the Columbia River Gorge

This is the day for John’s second blood draw on the trip. There is a medical center in Chehalis that is a contract lab for Quest and we hooked up the trailer and drove into town. By 10 a.m. we were on the road to the Columbia River Gorge and the Bridge RV Park, next to the Hood River Bridge, only about 140 miles. As we went through Washougal, we saw a Pendleton Woolen Mill store. John got a great wool shirt and a corduroy jacket.

It's 100 degrees outside. Wish they had a swimming pool here. Have to settle for a cool shower. Won’t do the ironing tonight. John’s allergies are really going crazy from all the cottonwood fluff in the air and the pills he took made him groggy so he went to bed very early. Have to switch allergy meds.

We heard from friends about the earthquake centered in Borrego Springs that caused San Diego to rock and roll again. This has been a wild year.
