We got a list of several Lutheran churches in the area and went off to look for them. We decided to attend St. Luke in Silver Spring tomorrow. Then we went into Washington, DC to find American University where we will be taking Natasha later this month. We spent a couple of hours driving (John drove, I can’t with this lovely thing on my right foot) through tree-lined streets, down Massachusetts Avenue past the National Cathedral and Embassy Row, through Dupont Circle, and back to the northeast and Cherry Hill. There was very little traffic, guess because it's Saturday. I just assumed since it is a big holiday week-end traffic would be awful.
We were going to Don Pablo’s in Beltsville for dinner but they were going to do fireworks in an adjacent park and there was no parking at all by 6 p.m. so we drove back towards College Park and stopped at a little Mexican restaurant and had some very good Mexican food.
