Appearances aren't always what they seem.
Don't judge a book (or restaurant) by its cover.
Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Six of us (Don, Marcia, Phyllis, Clancy, John and I) went for dinner at The Rusty Duck tonight. Phyllis had been here 7 years ago for lunch and remembered how wonderful the food was. She was a little apprehensive about what the ensuing years had done, but we were all up for an adventure. Outside appearances were a bit off-putting, but, sure enough, the atmosphere inside and the food was wonderful. The recent freezes have toasted the greenery around the front door, but it was warm and cozy inside. The Mediterranean Salad with spinach, grapefruit and pine nuts was a hit, and would highly recommend the crab cakes. You almost have to make reservations and we spent two hours eating and talking. Phyllis and Clancy invited us back to their house for dessert and we continued the conversation.
