The Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk, commissioned in 1934, and decommissioned in 19__, is currently privately owned, moored in Key West, and open for tours. Frans Boets, a native of The Netherlands, purchased the Mohawk as it was on the way to the scrapyard and is restoring it. The Mohawk originally served as an icebreaker and then did escort duty in the North Pacific during World War II.
