You must know that John and I love driving "around." We left Toby and the chocolate and drove east to Leesburg. John had driven though here last week when we went to Winter Park to get his computer repaired. (I know, I know, I never mentioned that. Let's just say that it's fixed.) He thought Leesburg had a nice looking downtown. Their little Historical Museum was open so we went in and learned a bit about the City. It's the oldest city in Lake County, incorporating in 1875. It was a big watermelon growing area and had an annual Watermelon Festival from 1930 to 1961. Bass fishing is big here. They held their first national bass fishing tournament in 1928 and in order to promote tourism, was only open to non-Florida residents. Today the watermelons are gone and houses are built in their place. (Sound familiar?)
We drove back to Wildwood and found Toby's foot was in good working order again. Just needed a new solenoid, whatever that is. We are staying at a KOA about a mile away so by 1 p.m. we were set up in our campsite.
The weather is wonderful and I went to the pool for an hour.
