Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Augusta, Maine

Lutheran churches aren't plentiful in Maine either. But there is one in Augusta with a 9 a.m. service. This is a congregation of singers. What a joyful noise unto the Lord they made.

After church we went to the movies. There is one movie theatre in the area and we chose to see "Nancy Drew," based on some of my favorite books as a kid. I didn't know they made Nancy Drew movies in the 1930s but Turner Classic Movies ran four of them back to back last week and we watched one. I like the 2007 version better. I called my cousin, Joanne, after the movie. I was so jealous of her because she had all the books in the early 1950s and I knew she would enjoy seeing the movie. As she reminded me, her parents bought her the books when she had yellow jaundice and was confined to her room. I remember going over and talking to her through the window while she was ill.
