After church Sweetmans picked us up and we took a ride to Huntley to look at model homes in a Del Webb community. It’s a few years old but still is not built out. Lunch in Lake of the Hills and more Del Webb in Elgin. This one is brand new and the first homes are not occupied yet. Jacque and I drive past it every day. We liked these models better. If you buy a house today, you can move in next summer.
We saw corn being harvested on the way home, but I didn't take a picture.
Big excitement (?) of the day was my getting locked in Toby’s bathroom. The doorknob wouldn’t turn at all. The screws for the knob are on the inside and, luckily, there is a wide gap at the bottom of the door and John was able to slide a screwdriver under the door so I could unscrew the doorknob. Removing the doorknob didn’t help because the inner mechanism was still stuck in the doorjam. John called Manus to tell him we weren’t coming back to their house and Manus and helped cut the piece that was stuck in the door so we could open it. Winnebago will send us a new doorknob.
