We left Barrington RV about 7 a.m. and pulled into the Winnebago factory parking lot in Forest City, Iowa about 3 p.m. Driving through Waterloo, Iowa I saw a freeway sign announcing the home of the National Dairy Cattle Congress. I started laughing when I imagined all these cows sitting around trying to pass laws. Rather than Congressman, they would be addressed as Congresscow.
We got our paperwork ready for tomorrow and went across the street to their campground for the night. They have electric hookups for 1400 motorhomes that are used once a year during the Grand National Rally in July. The population of the town doubles during that week.
As John put the slides out, there was a popping sound and the living room slide came back in. I was outside and could see the hydraulic fluid pouring on to the ground from under the living room slide. Well, this is the perfect place to have problems. Add something else to our list for tomorrow.
