What a Lovely Commute - at Least in the Fall
Jacque’s job in Elgin is about 35 minutes from her home in Sycamore, but the route she takes goes past miles of farms, corn and bean fields, trees changing color, and new subdivisions. For much of the drive we are the only car on the road. I heard Jacque’s story about spinning out on ice one winter, going through a farmer’s fence but missing the trees, and the one about the deer that went bounding across the fields and road in front of her. A much different commute than I’ve ever had.
