Happy Birthday to my son, Stephen.
We worshipped with Sally at Historic Trinity Lutheran in the Soulard area south of downtown St. Louis. From their website, “Located in the heart of Soulard, five minutes south of downtown hotels and one block south of the famous Soulard Market, Trinity Lutheran Church houses the oldest Lutheran congregation west of the Mississippi River. The historic building on the southwest corner of Eighth and Soulard Streets was restored in the mid-eighties. Its brilliant interior with its gleaming white and gold altar has been admired by visitors from around the world. The Pulpit and Baptismal Font are the original dating back to 1864.”
We were on the road by 2:30 p.m., after showing off Toby to Salley and filling up with gas. We spent the night in a Springfield, Missouri Wal-Mart parking lot. Covered 200 of our 1800 miles today. Just 1600 miles to go to Arcadia and Santa Anita Village.
