Sometimes Things Don't Work Like You've Planned

Well, life throws us curveballs sometimes. John has had an ache in his right thigh for about a month, but since that is the same leg where his knee bothers him, his limping around seemed rather normal. Fortunately, since we were going to be in one place for two weeks, he had asked Manus for a doctor recommendation so he could get his leg looked at. He went to Dr. McNamara today and they took x-rays and did blood work. Said they would have results tomorrow. He knows the time frame we are working with. (Or we were working with.)

John’s cell phone rang about 6 p.m. and the doctor’s office gave him blood test results and told him they were faxing the x-rays to Fox Valley Orthopaedic Group (sound familiar)? At 6:30 p.m. his phone rang again and it was Mary O’Brien, who is still the administrator at Fox Valley offering him an appointment tomorrow with Dr. Rieger. Rather surprising and alarming when a doctor’s office calls you at home.
